Project Description

This bathroom renovation in the wooded 10 mile point area of Victoria affected the most amazing transformation. The existing enclosed shower, cartoon fish decals & “unique” orange cabinetry morphed into a sleek, open concept design for guests and/or returning daughters.

A dingy, spidery storage area under the stairs became home to an alcove vanity which allowed for a full 5′ shower. Glossy white shower walls and cabinetry offset the rich browns of the floor tiles and a frame-less glass shower enclosure allows the pot lights to function most efficiently.

Renovating a basement brings with it the challenge of providing sufficient light especially during our rainy Victoria weather. A little creative space planning, care with material choices, and a good lighting plan can achieve wonders. The only risk is making your new bathroom too inviting for family and guests…
